The Story
So everyone wants to know "how'd you guys meet?"
I'll put up both of our "versions" and you can decide which one you think you like the best.

First things first, it started here.

Here's MUFASA's version & Here's Punky's Version

PUNKY's VERSION

But onto how I actually met Mufasa, aka Booty, aka LaShawn. Being in LC doesn't afford much time to socialize with people I enjoy doing such with, and having my ties to the internet; I realized the net is one thing that could occupy my time. Because as you may already know, this place is crazy boooorrring. Before I had my cool job I would get up, go lift weights, do my job search and then come home and play on the computer.

I did do a small amount of mt. biking but that ended one day after sprinting full-out on a flat dirtroad. My front bike tire was locked up by my t-shirt which fell off my handle bar. I went high up in the air like a Superman when the wheel stopped and I didn't. Since then I've not mt. biked here.

As the story goes... I continued several online relationships with girls in other states and they are what kept me alive. Remember I was still heartbroken and getting over the depression of the TX thing. While searching on ldssingle.com I happned upon a long, dark haired girl and thought it wouldn't hurt to have another friend out on the eastcoast. Honestly there was not a thought that I'd ever meet this girl, and forget about liking her.

So in late December of 2003 I sent her a small note called a "flirt", basically it's a small icon message. I don't recall what it said. She must've liked me because she followed the clues to my MSN email address and she caught up with me on MSN online. This wasn't such a strange thing to me because I'd already had many girls follow from the site to find me on MSN online. I was a bit excited to meet and chat with a new girl.

Now the reason I sent her only a "flirt" and not a small note while on the website was that I didn't think she was "all that" as they say. My perception was that she was a cute girl but had some what of a self-righteous and overly educated attitude. Guess what?

I was correct.

Online she was overly opinionated, abrasive and took the independent woman thing way too far. She was perfect. I needed new fodder for my online debating. Far too often I'd wasted time with women who were entirely too eager to bow to my desires in conversation and fall all over me. Was this the challenge I needed? It was and I enjoyed putting her in her place, hehehehe.

The first debate we had was over the war in Iraq and right away my notion of her was soldified. I had here a real life "bleeding heart, socially idealistical liberal". Yuck, ughggh I couldn't stand her. But she was a chance for me to show her type that life is about reality and not "what ifs" or "this is how it should be" or peace and love and all things are better.

At the end of this first discussion I was convinced she wouldn't be back for more, that she would be upset at how I laid it out on the line for her. A dose of reality is something liberals truly despise. It's like kyrptonite for them. As is not often the case, I was wrong and she came back and chatted online with me as if nothing had ever happened.

Mmm, I thought, maybe she is different.

She was well educated and didn't hold a grudge AND she could stand up for herself under my glaring barrage of truthful realism. Things developed and I'll tell you it was never truly love at first fight or email or whatever cliche' you would like to think of to describe a budding relationship.

My first check that I was getting into her was when I called her from the Seattle, WA airport. I had just finished a weekend visit to a girl in Vancouver, BC/CA. This was a cute Peruvian girl I had met online and thought something might be up. This even though I began to think that our conversation and goals weren't the same. But, I owed it to myself to try it out and thus flew to visit her. My gut instinct was dead on and after she dropped me at the airport I knew (like a bolt of lightning) where I should focus my time and life.

THAT'S MY STORY AND I'M STICKIN TO IT!!!
