February 15-21, 2005
This is the weekend that Punky flew to Cali to pick up the bike & rode to UT through Nevada. We had a birthday party for my sister, went to Ade's wedding, then Punky's old branch. Punky rode back to NM from Utah & I flew back to PA

Leaving from the El Paso airport. Arriving in Costa Mesa, Cali

This is Rob... the guy who sold Punky the Suzuki. This is Las Vegas @ 3am.

He's got a few bikes to spare, huh? Seems like a solid cat though - I think Punky made a new friend.

Why Las Vegas at 3am? Because Mr. Adventurous decided to leave Cali the same night he got there after working a full day in New Mexico and rode to Las Vegas to get ahead of his schedule. The full story is on our Journal.

This is Mike "in New York" *wink wink*... This is afro man in his hotel room.

He almost caught an elbow to the head when he said he was in NYC - 2 hours away from me - and didn't call me. (i couldn't see the picture enough to know it wasn't NYC)

His hair is like Vintage Eddie Munster, don't you think?

This guy was on his way to a wedding too
- just had a "planning" issue The scenic Wasatch mountains were too much
for this mortal man to pass by
without capturing the moment on film

Passenger pegs are very important on the Suzuki. This dude lost the toe of his shoe because he didn't follow Punky's orders to use the passenger peg!

I'll be glad to let him take pics with the camera when we go for rides - he has a knack for photo opps.

Still the Wasatch range,
just without that random car in the photo. You know you're near "Happy Valley" when...

Don't worry - I couldn't see it either until I looked for it. It was camouflaged like "Where's Waldo."

That's what you call an INVERSION, ladies and gents. I learned something new that weekend.

Home sweet Home... kinda.

This is the spot where my poor punkyboo froze to death waiting for us to arrive at the house so he could warm up. He was there for over an hour... I felt horrible.
